Visiting Porto Santo is discovering a golden island, famous for its nine kilometre sandy beach. The smallest inhabited island of the Madeira Archipelago is only an hour and a half flight away from Lisbon, in the extreme southwest of Europe, 500 km from the African coast and 1000 km from the European continent.
Actually, you have direct flight to Porto Santo Island from different flights companies, sucha as Binter Canarias, TAP Portugal, Easyjet,, Transavia France, Ryanair., Azores Airlines, between others.
However, there is no prize that can replace the experience of a visit. Discovering Porto Santo is like discovering a landscape with the flavour of the waves, immersing yourself in the transparency of the waters and feeling something inexplicable. Health and wellness go hand in hand on Porto Santo beach, whose sands have proven therapeutic properties, and at the same time are a great place to relax.
Since October 2020, the island of Porto Santo has been part of UNESCO's World Network of Biosphere Reserves.
The Porto Santo Biosphere Nature Reserve is an ecosystem that is home to more than 2110 species, some of which exist only on the island.
The quality of the sea waters bathing this island is also unique, known for helping to complement the lack of mineral salts caused by stress and fatigue of the human body, and helping the recovery of the nervous system. Even if you are in perfect health, you will feel the benefits.
Vila Baleira Suits, nestled in the Cabeço da Ponta Beach, Just four kilometres from the centre of Vila Baleira , with its turquoise waters and mild temperatures, stands out for its natural beauty.
Situated in an area with hotel facilities, this beach is mainly frequented by tourists, attracted by the extensive sandy beach with recognised therapeutic properties. Therefore, Cabeço da Ponta Beach also has the advantage of having various restaurants and cafés/bars, as well as a set of support services, such as lifeguards, lifeboats and a first-aid post.
It also allows bathers to enjoy multiple leisure activities. All the conditions are met to spend a day of good bathing, guaranteed fun and relaxation to the sound of the tide.
However, it should be noted that there is no public car park at Cabeço da Ponta Beach. For this reason, the best thing to do is take a walk on the soft, golden sand that characterises Porto Santo and discover the beach that has already converted many tourists. As with most of them, you are likely to come back here regularly.
The minimum rental period is 28 consecutive days (medium term rental)
