What could be the reason for a host rejecting your booking request, and what can you do afterward? Find out in this article!
The host has rejected my booking request. What should I do?
Booking requests can be rejected for multiple reasons, but the most common ones are:
- you haven't filled in your profile properly so the host doesn't have enough information about you,
- the property is unavailable during the chosen dates,
- your booking request hasn't met the requirements stated in the listing (e.g., the maximum number of guests or no pets allowed).
If you'd like to learn the exact reason for the rejection of your booking, you can find it in the Bookings section of your My Housing profile.
In case your booking request gets rejected for a reason that can be fixed by you (for example, by sufficiently filling out your profile or responding to the host's additional questions), we recommend that you get everything in order and create a new booking request afterward - either for the same listing or for a new one.
However, if the issue is on the host's side and cannot be changed (for example, the property's unavailability), you can make a new booking request for another listing. There are many options available at Flatio, which we recommend filtering by your needs.
